Bilingual Services

We offer comprehensive bilingual evaluations that include language dominance testing, cognitive and achievement testing, rating scales in Spanish, as well as communication to parents in Spanish.

    1. Referral and Scheduling: The school district provides referral information about the student. Vital Abilities then coordinates and schedules all testing dates.

    2. Parent and Teacher Communication: Vital Abilities sends all necessary forms to parents (in Spanish, if needed) and teachers, ensuring a smooth and timely process.

    3. Evaluation and Reporting: Comprehensive testing is conducted, including language dominance, cognitive and achievement assessments, and Spanish rating scales. Vital Abilities prepares a detailed evaluation report and shares it with the school district.

    4. Parent and District Collaboration: Vital Abilities reviews the report with parents in their preferred language and ensures understanding. The district then arranges an ARD committee meeting to accept the evaluation and plan appropriate next steps.

Social Emotional Evaluations

We conduct special education evaluations that assess emotional disturbance, autism, and other-health impairment for ADHD. This includes collaborating with your SLPs and OTs to conduct a comprehensive evaluation.

    3. Comprehensive Evaluation and Reporting: Assessments are conducted to evaluate emotional disturbance, autism, or ADHD-related other-health impairment. Findings are synthesized into a detailed report, integrating input from SLPs and OTs, and shared with the school district.

    4. Parent and District Communication: Vital Abilities reviews the evaluation results with parents, ensuring clarity and addressing any questions. The district then arranges an IEP meeting to accept the evaluation and plan the necessary support for the student.

Learning Disabilities Evaluations
